HMS K-Fang
HMS K'Fang (CA-93) is a Dartfire-class battlecruiser, Fireline sub-class, built for the Wami Royal Navy during SY 3357. This newly launched cruiser is one of the new Fireline sub-class built around the designs of the K'fang siblings. The K'fang family, native Amites, are intellectual geniuses and experts at mechanical and electrical engineering. Their new sub-class is more maneuverable and solidly built than the stock Dartfire-class.
The K'fang Incident
First of the Fireline sub-class, named for their designers, the HMS K'fang made national headlines when during their first anti-piracy patrol the powerful dorsal cannon overheated, back-feeding into the weapon array and shutting the entire ship down. The, now disgraced, Captain Harrowmark was forced to surrender his ship to the pirates. The vessel was eventually ransomed back along with its crew.
Redemption
Following their return to service, the new crew of the HMS K'fang tracked down the pirate cove they were held at and while carefully managing their dorsal cannon fire, used the HMS K'fang's superior maneuverability to trap fleeing pirates and extract revenge on their former captors. The new crew not only redeemed the ships legacy, but was awarded a small fortune by the prize courts for the captured pirate stash.
